  1. Happy Birthday Obrum!

  2. Not competing in this one, and likely won't be for the next one or two either. Moving house, and will probably take a bit of time to get some internet sorted out, so I'll have to give this a miss for a bit. I'll be right back as soon as I can though :D
  3. 91% MC Lead - forearm's dead too, unrelated to guitar playing though. Think I pulled a muscle or something, can't exert any force with my middle/ring fingers. Oh well, don't need force to fret :p http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/540775541814082930/B652DB845EA6E5694847FBBA7E0CDA2BBCD098D1/
  4. Not technically my first attempt at this song since I'd played an earlier version once before, but it's my first run of this more updated version. Fantastic song, everything from BoC is so much fun to play. Anyways, 88% MC Lead http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/544152993456501732/EC7E4699531520EF0CB502876E1BE1939688A2C5/
  5. MC Lead, 82%, loads of fun again, loving the MC songs recently :D http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/540774389140152818/D94D7AB1468AB372E22BB591F6A39B2DDAFA7E68/
  6. Lazy was a super fun song, I really enjoyed playing it! First run, 88% MC Lead: http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/540773470662545311/DAAE1D4BF5D81322C1E04C4C06CA26B0E8F85082/ Definitely adding that one to my favourites list :p
  7. Pretty hard, didn't do great, but here's my 73% MC Lead run - http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/540773470655303670/514B695EA2BB0E86778D7371C27E563A45A1001A/ Also I already had The Crowing and since it's such a fun song to play, I did that too :p 83% Int Lead - http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/540773470655308672/F5D289D010C344FB659BF1C72FFA36AFB81587A5/
  8. 72% on Lead MC first run, might try and improve it. http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/539646410291278987/A6162BABA76A2345D99F3A5602A0027EE2D2B6CA/
  9. MC Lead, 80% http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/539646304420761932/58DFF8895E46CE446B9B6B2A436574187E1E49CB/ Only managed 73% on my first try, so I played it again straight away and managed 80, guess I expected the chord positions a bit more or something.
  10. Am I still on time? 82% on MC Lead here. http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/539645482726670432/7973AA2F6A699095F96BA25D24E599975443AAAD/ I will say I don't feel that anywhere near good enough to play these kind of songs, not by a long shot. If I were playing the song without the music it would sound absolutely horrible, and I can't play any solos for the life of me. I can play the power chords and most riffs fine though, so at least there's that :P EDIT: WHOOPS, didn't read that there was a song change, downloaded the original song at the start of the week and only just got around to playing it, then realised that the song had changed. Oh well :) EDIT 2: Alright, HERE'S the actual one - MC Lead, 80%, first and likely only attempt. That was a fantastic song though, even if the solos consisted of me repeatedly hitting my guitar in the hopes that some of the right notes would come out. I don't think many did. http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/539645482726825813/D83AA2515AA361AAA34D2500E1E0E64A81A72FCC/
  11. 90% on MC Lead :D http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/539644405493259014/F9DE109AA405C91D8DB33680699154A00BE6A59E/
  12. http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/538517414441121979/713CFDDAA4CA7D4CAAE1F4B77D03DA134B289F95/ 83% on MC lead first time through, didn't do so great and I don't particularly want to put more time into the song, not a huge fan. I'll just leave it at this for this week, so at least I'm participating and not skipping a week :P
  13. http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/538516939345466392/2446FEB7ADA597095AE36149609143636A2E8575/ Hotel California - Lead - 90.74%
  14. I'd like to echo the thoughts of had_cb above me - The way I use the old search is that I'll browse through, opening any songs that might interest me in new tabs until I reach the last bolded song (so I know I've looked over everything new). I then go to each tab that I opened, and listen to each song - but doing this in the Ignition search is nowhere near as user-friendly, it takes far more steps for me to browse the way I want to browse. I agree that it's faster, and it's nice to have a collection of the custom songs you download, but that doesn't really help me when the way I want to browse the songs is not as feasible any more. A direct link in the song listings, like the old search, would make me want to go for this new search without question but right now, without that feature, I'm hesitant to do so.
  15. I'm going to take part this week and then probably forget to look at the championship for a month, but oh well, it's fun when I remember. Tried the Aerosmith lead even though I'm nowhere near good enough to play it. Solos mess me up, I just flail at the strings, but I managed an alright 86% on my first attempt, so I'll take it - http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/538516512379688111/4BDE434D2A9D1D4E4FDE86C0C82C463615386381/ I also had a go at Iron Maiden and managed just over 88%, but I totally forgot to take a screenshot so I might try again tomorrow.
