try using custom  song manager one of the functions is to create different play lists you just open custom somg manager and start RS from your chosen playlist

if using IE i think there are issues. I use Opera and have just tried and can report all working fine

you do not need to open the file just place it in your rocksmith folder.

If it is a  widely recognised song then there are plenty of sites on the web already dedicated using a system called TAB there are also other sites that allow you to play the song and it will display the chords as they change for you.

I use "Bandicam" to record both video and audio then its just a matter of moving the recorded file from p.c to your chosen player
