I should post a score this week, so here is the obligatory 100% Wonderful Tonight on bass.

 

I haven't spent much time on Challenge selections this week, partly because I don't like most of them, but mostly because I've been in the workshop.  The FreeBird police (if they have recovered by the ukelele assault posted above) know that that means some guitar is loosing it's head.

 

The Secret Agent Man has been restored to 25.5" scale. A new Bass VI conversion neck has been grafted onto the Doodlecaster to make sure that I have a daily player.  The spare Bass VI conversion neck has been ear-marked for  @@GNat to use on a project in the Talkbass Winter Build-Off.

@Stark_Knight all 3 links for "like hell" works just fine for me.   Don't know why they wont work for you.

 

Anyone else have problem with them?

Well I won't get too much time to work on the solo for this one. I'm out of town the rest of the week. This will have to do.

 

 

Damn you @. You had to tie my score last week. What makes it especially painful is I had a 195 streak on a lesser attempt. I'm getting closer to winning one of these. I'm gonna keep working at it!

@@Toni-Wan Kenobi Looks like I won't be enjoying second place of advanced bass for much longer :lol: Perhaps you should try testing some songs by Royal Blood ;)

I'm sure the RS Champs Ref's, will kick me out of advance soon anyway. You'll be safe! Hoping for a couple more weeks before I get properly shifted to Masterclass  ^_^ 

 

Yea I like Royal Blood. I've also seen them live, they were warm up for the Foo Fighters! Amazing night! I haven't played RB for a lot of months, they were a little difficult last time. 

@@meelo and you haven't posted your score yet! Could still beat me or come 2nd place to gain a few pts still  ;) Get practicing!!

pfft. I thought I had started score attack after checking those couple of nasty spots in this one. I was so hyped because I hadn't heard any streak end noises during playing, so I thought I must have gotten a perfect run. Guess this means a re-run!

Man, these G chords are a pain to get right! As for these bends, I feel like I'm hitting them, it sounds fine, but the game just isn't giving them to me. 

 

Didn't get a great improvement today. Maybe break 98% tomorrow  :rolleyes:

@@Toni-Wan Kenobi Thanks for pushing me into getting the perfect streak, but unfortunatelly the score is not high enough. I don't get the same timing accuracy with bass note detection as I get with the guitar. Although, this is so fast paced that it's hard to get the timing right anyways.

@@Ploutchsky that should be totally fine. I've done the same thing on multiple songs. Sometimes I've even changed chords to more comfortable positions. Tabs are not always made in the most optimal way, especially bass tabs tend to do a lot more jumping than is actually necessary.

(Unfortunatelly!) Not a single Toni-Wan Kenobi was harmed while making these bass scores.

I feel obligated to miss something as simple as an A chord every time, but not necessarily the same one, or two!
