Wrong Tuning shown in CFSM.

Best Answer cozy1, 12 March 2018 - 01:18 PM

Time to give a shameless plug to my application Custom Game Toolkit (CGT).  CGT already does what you want.  Select the 'File Manager' tab.  Uncheck 'Combine Arrangements' under the 'Load' menu item and then select 'Quick Load'.   Follow my signature link to download the latest version of CGT.

EDIT:

The latest beta of CFSM now displays 'Arrangements' correctly as a one dimensional string of all the arrangements in a CDLC.  'Tunings' are also correctly represented as a one dimensional string of all the tunings in a CDLC.  Select these columns 'Filter' icon to set a 'Custom' filter that 'Contains' the arrangement and tuning you are interested in seeing in the 'Results Grid'.

Hi,

Noticed some songs ODLC are being shown with wrong Tuning.

For example, they show as Eb Drop Db in CFSM but are Eb Standard in RS2014.

It happened with 1.4.2.8 and 1.2.4.9, probably before as well.

Yes I have made a clean install.

@cfg Can you actually point us toward a specific song that does this cause it might just be that CFSM show the tuning for one path and you are looking at another path in game.

In "Song Manager" click on the "+" in the first column to show the details grid and the tuning for each arrangement in the CDLC.  The main grid only shows the tuning of the first arrangement which is usually the bass arrangement.  Let me know if you are still seeing a difference.

It seems this is the case. Thanks.

Would it be possible to choose the Path in CFSM so I can see the tuning that is relevant to me?

Cheers.

I can give you a "Tunings1D" (one-dimensional tunings) column in the main form that would show the tuning of each arrangement so you don't have to use the details form to see all the tunings.  Would that work?

That would create 4 lines per song.

Any way to choose the Arrangement I am interested in?

Agree, four lines is no good.  I had something like this in mind;  "Drop D, Standard E, Standard E" all on one line representing the tuning for Bass, Lead, Rhythm.  If this doesn't work you can use the 'Songs Details' grid view.  Just click on the plus sign in the first column to see what arrangements and tunings a song has.  Only problem is this is not sortable.  In order to sort properly you would have to go back to the four line method or do the following:

In 'Settings' tab you can specify which columns to show in the data grid.  If you select 'colBass', etc you could then show the tuning for just bass arrangements, etc.  This would be sortable then with the addition of  the one dimensional tuning column like above.

Let me know if you have other ideas?

Skid Row Youth Gone Wild.

Bass Drop D

Lead E Standard

CFSM shows Tuning as Drop D. I am interested in Lead.

I removed colBass from settings but it still shows Tuning as Drop D.

If there were a bassTuning, leadTuning, lead2Tuning, rhythmTuning, etc Columns, we could remove the Tunings we are not interested in from Settings.

Installed 1432.

It forgot my selected columns again.

Saw the new Tunings1D Column. The problem with this is it is not possible to tell what tuning is for what Arrangement.

Is it possible to have Columns for each arrangement tuning? This way the user can hide the columns he is not interested in and sort by the arrangement they are interested in.

'It forgot my selected columns again.'  When ever there are significant changes to the datagrid, CFSM intentionally deletes your setting to avoid a crash.

"The problem with this is it is not possible to tell what tuning is for what Arrangement."  Sure you can.  Both concatenated strings are in the same order.

'Is it possible to have Columns for each arrangement tuning?'   I looked at this request and determined it is not a practical solution because there are many different arrangement names used in CDLC.  A complete study of all CDLC would have to be done to properly account for the number of arrangement column names that would need to be added to CFSM.

The one dimensional concatenated strings for 'Arrangements' and 'Tunings' should now allow you to filter the grid sufficiently to see what you are interested in.  You will need to set 'Custom' 'Contains' filters on both columns.

"Tunings not sure how to only show the Tuning for Lead."

Click on the yellow funnel icon to set a filter on column 'Arrangements' and select '(Custom)' Arrangements 1D 'Contains' equals 'Lead'.  You can then do the same thing to set a 'Custom' filter for the 'Tunings' column if you want.

It may be a good time to try CGT.

I already tried this as explained before. I can get all the songs that have a Lead arrangement but cant only show that Tuning.

I have CGT, it only modifies RS as far as I can see.
