Breaking CDLC Into Different Sections

weableandbob

Question

Is there any way to break (existing) CDLC up into different sections for use in the Riff Repeater? I ask because there are various sections in some songs that I would like to practice at a lower speed, but they're set up as a single section for the entire song, making it annoying to practice those parts. I would assume it requires the use of Editor on Fire, but I wanted to make sure.

Yup,

Unpack (also tick decode audio) using Custom Song Creator Toolkit

Load up files into EOF ( ogg audio file and import guitararrangementname.xml )

Add sections by clicking beat marker and pressing SHIFT+S phrases are SHIFT+P

Save and repack

You lose tech notes when unpacking.

There are video and pic tutorials on how to use the programs here: http://customsforge.com/topic/5577-tutorial-list/

If you get stuck just ask.  Questions usually get answered pretty quickly.

I found this thread by searching for breaking a song into sections. I've used the Toolkit before to make DDC, unpack and repack stuck songs, and modify tones. I do not know how to use EOF or completely create CDLC.

I've downloaded BPR, and opened the CDLC I want to modify (Paul Young, Every Time You Go Away). What do I do to break it into sections? Thanks for any help.
