Every other music-related website I've been to has one of these threads, so we have to as well.   I've been listening to Lake Street Dive pretty much nonstop since their new album came out last week.

They also have an excellent cover EP:

Have iTunes on shuffle, so right now, it's "Mars, The Bringer Of War" from Holst's The Planets, played by the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Yeah, apparently they were all jazz students at the New England Conservatory.  I may try to do that first one for guitar.  The only tab I've found for it seems deceptively simple.

I LOVE those albums - good picks :)

+1 Marty V, good stuff, I recommend a little VU w/Nico too, but sadly today is Paco de Lucia all day. Goodbye Paco.

Another band I listen to a lot. They were from Toledo/Detroit, I think. The singer/guitarist quit to become a doctor! Real shame because I love his guitar tone and the style:

Saw these guys in Manchester, England a couple years ago a few weeks before Christmas.  Shane was drunk and forgot a lot of the lyrics, but it was the best concert I've ever been to.

I stream Google Play to my phone on my daily commute to and from work, so it varies hugely. However, I periodically load my 'heavy' playlist of Zep/Audioslave/Metallica when I need to get my rock on.
